Manual Handling Training for Carers – 18 April 2024
Correct manual handling is essential to safely move or support someone who may have difficulty with moving due to their MND.
Empower yourself with knowledge and skills to ensure you protect yourself and your loved one from injury
Basic theory followed by hands on opportunities providing a unique opportunity to learn and practice skills to safely undertake manual handling tasks to reduce the risks of injury.
Learn how to assist with positioning in bed and chairs, sitting to standing, walking, assisting on stairs, pushing a wheelchair, and loading a wheelchair in and out of a vehicle.
Delivered by MND Queensland’s Physiotherapist, Bronwyn Makris.
