Terms and Conditions

By registering for or participating in this MND Queensland Walk Event (“Event”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Participation and Safety

This is an inclusive community walk/roll and participants of all abilities are welcome.

The Event takes place in a public outdoor setting. Conditions such as uneven surfaces, weather and shared pathways may be present.

MND Queensland takes reasonable steps to support a safe and welcoming event. Participants are responsible for taking part in a way that is appropriate for them and for following directions provided by event staff and volunteers.

To the extent permitted by law, MND Queensland is not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the Event, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

Participants under 18 years of age must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

2. Event Changes or Cancellation

MND Queensland may cancel, postpone, relocate or modify the Event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, government restrictions, safety concerns or other unforeseen events.

If the Event is cancelled or changed:

• Registration fees (if applicable) may be transferred to a new date at the discretion of MND Queensland

• Refunds are not guaranteed

• Donations are non-refundable

MND Queensland is not responsible for personal expenses incurred by participants, including travel or accommodation costs.

3. Donations and Fundraising

All donations made in connection with the Event are voluntary and non-refundable and will be used to support the charitable purposes of MND Queensland.

Participants who undertake fundraising activities agree to do so lawfully, ethically and in a way that accurately represents MND Queensland.

MND Queensland reserves the right to withdraw participation if fundraising activities are misleading, unlawful or inconsistent with its values.

4. Photography and Media

Photographs, video and audio recordings may be taken during the Event.

By participating, you consent to MND Queensland using images or recordings that include your likeness, voice or name for promotional, fundraising, educational and reporting purposes across print, digital and social media platforms.

If you provide photographs, videos or other materials to MND Queensland (including via social media), you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to do so and allow MND Queensland to use that content for promotional and fundraising purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify Event staff at the Event. While reasonable efforts will be made to respect your request, incidental capture in public areas may occur.

5. Privacy

MND Queensland collects personal information in connection with your participation in the Event, including your name, contact details and any information required to process registrations, donations or fundraising activities.

This information is used to:

• Manage event registrations and participation

• Process donations and issue receipts

• Communicate with you about the Event

• Provide information about MND Queensland’s services, activities and future events

MND Queensland may share your information with trusted service providers who assist in delivering the Event, including registration platforms, payment processors and communication tools. These providers are required to handle your information securely and in accordance with applicable laws.

By registering for or participating in the Event, you consent to receiving communications related to the Event. You may also receive updates about future events or activities, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe option or by contacting MND Queensland.

MND Queensland takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
