Safe & Supportive Moving Techniques for Carers
Correct manual handling is essential when supporting someone living with MND.
Build your confidence and skills to safely assist your loved one—while also protecting yourself from injury.
This practical session combines key theory with hands-on learning, giving you the opportunity to practice real-life techniques in a supportive environment.
You’ll learn how to safely assist with:
• Positioning in bed and chairs
• Sitting to standing• Walking and stairs
• Pushing a wheelchair
• Loading a wheelchair in and out of a vehicle
